| While
discovering the city of Rio visitors have the opportunity to explore
the areas surrounding the city. The two most popular day trips away
from the city reflect the variety of options offered by the state
of Rio and Brazil itself. One takes visitors into the mountains,
to the historic town of Petropolis, while the other to an
area known as Angra dos Reis, the King’s Cove, with its 365
tropical islands, one for every day of the year. A third alternative
is the Sun Coast in the opposite direction from Rio than Angra,
we can find the fishing village Buzios. Here its both charming
and sophisticated and it is not only the town and its enchanting
hotels that are the attraction, but the peninsula’s nineteen sandy
and seductive beaches, each of which has its own special charm.
